INTERNSHIPS INTO PRACTICE
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
At UNADAP, there's a competitive intake and a rigorous, yet compassionate selection process. UNADAP is committed to assisting students of lower strata in life. In India, UNADAP has undertaken assisting children of workers in domestic, construction, drivers and others, with the aim of giving them a shot at a good life and to break the cycle of poverty. UNADAP appeals to Schools and Universities to assist in Admissions and scholarships for the underprivileged. Some of the noted institutions that we have worked with in the last year are, MIIM, SIGA, Harvard HPAIR, Oxford, to name a few.
UNADAP has been successful in sending one candidate to Harvard University (HPAIR), who was a school dropout. We nurtured him with compassion and encouragement.
In terms of academics, UNADAP has a highly qualified team of scientists in seven disciplines, and qualified civil and international civil servants who have served as Ambassadors, Secretaries to governments and policy makers.
Interns put inquiry and theory into practice.
Working with some of the world’s best researchers, interns learn, collaborate, and network for life. Interns not only advance their own careers, but they also contribute to the exciting R&D that our team is involved in. Check out UNADAP's Clean Energy project, "Plant-to-Fuel".
Responsibilities
During the internship, students are paired with mentors of their respective universities, and expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community.
- UNADAP conducts research in a wide range of areas and Internships are available in all of them;
- In the application process, we’ll try to find the opportunity that best aligns with your interests;
- Internships are offered year round, though a majority begins in the summer;
- Some Internships carry a stipend for the underprivileged. UNADAP, will help with visa applications where needed;
- All reports submitted by the interns must be free from plagiarism and free from, and not limited to, anti-national, sexist, racist commentaries. Failure to comply will result in termination of the internship.
Qualifications
Candidates must be enrolled in a university as part of either a doctoral, masters, or undergraduate program (or must be a recent graduate from such a program). Please include your resume and upto three letters of recommendation while applying for these internships. If the internships are through the university, the students are considered bona fide and the university could make the candidate's recommendation.
Each applicant should request for a letter of recommendation by giving the name and email ID of the referee in the application. The request will then be routed to the referee to upload a letter of recommendation. Please pay attention to the areas of research and choose your interest while answering to the screening questions.
